Miracle Garden – one of the most beautiful places I have been to yet. It took me almost 4 hours to get there. This was because I was all alone and was being adventurous. It was my 3rd day and first time in Dubai. I took the Dubai metro to Mall of Emirates on the red line and the RTA bus no. 105 which goes directly to the place. The buses are reliable as they go there every 20 – 30 minutes for just five dirham.
Miracle Garden is flower garden full of flowers which have been creatively shaped and designed. Some are cartoon characters, others are houses, cars and whatever else you can think of. Among the most impressive was the Emirates Airbus which was in the Guinness book of world records as the biggest flower structure in the world. It was opened in February 2013. Miracle because these are real flowers (you can actual smell the scents. If you are keen enough you can see the water pipes and how they are all connected) in a desert country.
You can have an overview of the place at its view point of sorts. It’s an uphill which has a tower feel and from there you can see almost all the different shapes and colours as you try to figure what is what. They have several restaurants where you can sit and eat or just seat and take in all the beauty. This beautiful space has to be taken in, in phases. The famous miracle garden hearts, to the Walt Disney’s character and all sorts of other things.
The chill places include colourful hammocks, large rounds swings and benches all at random corners of the garden. They also have an amazing stage which is sometimes booked for weddings and other events. If you are lucky enough you can walk in to shows and parades.
It’s a kid’s heaven as each place is a playground. A photographer’s dream backdrop as almost every place is perfect for pictures. Lovers are not left out as love seat are all over and the flowers keep calling their feelings too. It’s basically amazing for everyone.
It can take one almost 3 to 4 hours to go around the whole place. Carry water, a snack for your picnic if you are a picnic lover, of course a camera goes without saying and wear comfortable shoes. Also note that they revamp the place every year for about 6 months during summer of which they close the place. These 6 months are mid – May to mid – October. Next time you are in Dubai make sure you visit the flower garden and if you have enough time, pop in next door to see the largest indoor butterfly garden in the world.
